Like many other coaches, Coach Dan became a student of martial arts as a young lad attending Metella Rd Public School and heading off to Wentworthville Community Centre after school to learn from Sensei Matt Klein at Kenpo Freestyle Academy in 1995. From just Green Belt level he began assisting in classes, and after receiving a Black Belt in 2001, Dan’s passion for coaching continued to grow and he started coaching as the leader at his own locations in 2005. All of the coaches at 7 Strikes have followed a similar path, growing up coming to classes, learning from many coaches, including Coach Dan, and expanding their knowledge and skills by learning other disciplines, competing in tournaments at home and overseas, furthering their studies in related areas - just to name a few! The team at 7 Strikes is a family, who have been training and working together for many years, helping each other to learn and grow, and always striving to be that little bit better today than they were yesterday.
